We have work to do.

Good morning. We have work to do.
Mental health awareness month may be over "officially," but our work in de-stigmatizing mental health is not. Naomi Osaka's experience at the 2021 French Open is proof of that.

Other big news this week:

  • Olympic snowboarder Hagen Kearney has joined the CG Sports team.

  • What's up with Sam Bosco? Oh just a new website and new merch

  • Survive and Advance drops on June 8th.

DEMAND YOUR BRAND

Embrace Your Human
We're all human. Each day brings new challenges and obstacles, physical and mental, that we must overcome. But as a collegiate, elite, or professional athlete, something has set you apart to be able to overcome and perform when needed. Share the "secret sauce" (or a piece of it) that shapes who you are.

Share with your community how you're using a ritual, or even your favorite songs, quotes, verses, or hype videos to turn your day around when you're feeling negative or veering from the path you have defined towards success. Whether in conversation, on your website, a social post or blog...build an emotional connection with your followers by being your most vulnerable self. Not only does this build trust in you, but it also provides your community with education on tools to empower themselves and work towards their version of success.

Long Term Investments by Maia Monell

While short-term investing is all about quick preservation of cash, long-term investing is all about growing your wealth over time.

One long-term investing option:
Mutual Funds - Considered 'actively managed funds,' which just means that you (or your fund manager) select specific stocks that you believe will have the best future returns.

  • You also choose the best industry sectors to engage with under this investment class.

  • Only 22 percent of mutual funds outperform for as long as 5 years.

Check back next week for more long term investment options!
