Olympic Trials Stats You Didn’t Know You Needed

Good morning. We're trying to play it cool, but it's been 5 years since we watched Olympic Trials...

In a week full of emotions, we witnessed an abundance of talent from athletes vying for a spot on Team USA going into the Tokyo Games. The CG Sports team sat at the edge of our seats, cheered, and cried (or maybe just me here) watching McKenzie Coan, Colleen Young, Samantha Bosco, Tianna Bartoletta, Beata Nelson, Coleman Stewart, Erika Brown, Jordan Wilimovsky, Maddy Banic, Michael Chadwick, and Natalie Hinds compete with grace and a fire under their feet. We could not be more proud to work with such respectful, talented, and dedicated individuals. I guess what I'm really trying to say here is...

Big congratulations to all the Trials competitors! The newest additions to Team USA after this weekend are Erika Brown, McKenzie Coan, Colleen Young, and Natalie Hinds! I know we are not alone when we say we are excited to watch you all in Tokyo!

Other big news this week:

  • Tokyo is allowing 50% capacity at the Games

  • Is Devin Booker the next Kobe Bryant?

  • Team USA women's water polo team won twice this weekend: the FINA World Super Final title and equal prize money to the men's event.
