On the road with Cejih 🚗
Good morning.
There are so many exciting, moving parts happening in the CG Sports world right now! Here are some highlights for you (in no particular order):
On the road with Cejih Yung: Our CEO spent the latter half of last week traveling. First, he spent time in Dallas with Lakeside Aquatic Club, teaching them how to sell corporate sponsorships for their team. Then, he flew to Las Vegas for Katie Grimes’ NASCAR debut (more on that later)! Altogether, it was a busy and successful week.
Abbas Karimi and Marty Hendrick Day: On October 15th, the city of Fort Lauderdale proudly celebrated Abbas Karimi and his coach, Marty Hendrick. Mayor Dean Trantalis presented a proclamation for the special day, honoring the the accomplishments of both Abbas and Coach Hendrick. Mayor Trantalis emphasized the determination and dedication that Abbas demonstrated throughout his training, as well as his representation of the City of Fort Lauderdale.
Katie Grimes is launching a newsletter: THIS IS NOT A DRILL. If you are wanting to stay up to date with sponsorship, merchandise, event news, and more from Katie — sign up here!
All around, October is providing some incredible memories that are strong contenders for our year-end reflections!
Enjoy your week, folks!

“Three things I’m working on…”
It’s a simple but effective phrase. And what we have found as a company is that it allows us to do three specific things:
Streamline communication. Many of us work virtually, hybrid, or may just be in our own heads. Carving out time each week to share what you’re working on is essential for good team communication and can make the communication process easier if you need to ask someone for help later on.
Share successes. Living in a bubble is sad and boring. If you do something great, celebrate it and find someone to celebrate with! This not only shows the good work that you are doing, but also could open the door for future collaboration.
Prep for future projects. When you have knowledge of current projects, it can help you to better prepare for future projects. This is because you can eliminate, create, and expand upon what you are doing as a company — all because you have streamlined communication.
As a member of the marketing team, I especially love this process because it keeps me in tune with what people in other departments are up to. I might not work with someone on a project, but that doesn’t mean that I can’t know a) what they’re working on or b) how to support them from a marketing perspective down the road.
Sponsor Spotlight: CeraVe
What is one thing that skin conditions, such as acne, eczema, psoriasis, and dry skin have in common? A compromised skin barrier. In 2005, dermatologists and industry experts paired up to address this problem and the CeraVe line was born.
CeraVe contains a unique blend of three essential ceramides that work to restore the skin’s natural protective barrier by restoring moisture loss and increasing hydration. CeraVe products utilize a patented MultiVesicular Emulsion (MVE) technology that slowly dissolve, gradually releasing ingredients into your skin.
As a company, CeraVe offers facial and body cleansers and moisturizers, as well as sunscreen and more. Click here to shop all of the products that CeraVe offers.
