How to sell more books đź“š
Good morning.
Q4 is officially here and we are thrilled! Our company is actively creating new materials to advance many of our services and are traveling to support clients on the road (when possible).
Don’t believe us? Just wait until you see next week’s newsletter and catch up with our CEO Cejih Yung.
One important element we are focusing on as a company as we dive into Q4 and the end of 2024: communication. This past week, our company received weekly updates from team leaders on book sales, sales projections for the month, travel, and more.
Why does this matter? This level of communication updates our entire team on important updates, celebrations, and upcoming news. It also ensures that all team members know what is happening company-wide versus just within their department.
This week: What is one element that your company can focus on and sharpen for the end of 2024?
Enjoy your week, folks.
— Taylor

How do I sell more books?
A common question asked by all authors is: “How do I sell more books?” It’s a great question that has an ever-evolving answer.
One answer that we have found to be successful at CG Sports Publishing is to host events. After the excitement of launch day, you do not have to (and should not) stop interacting with your book. Quite the opposite actually!
Here are three examples of successful events hosted by publishing clients:
Betsy Mitchell, author of More Than Medals with Ann Worthington, is actively hosting events and building off the momentum of her book’s release in May 2024. Since publication, Betsy has made more than ten appearances in book stores, on podcasts, at bars, and college campuses!
Matthew Moseley, author of Soul is Waterproof, has coordinated his talks with important pillars of his book. An adventure swimmer and Ambassador for Water, Matthew’s events have purposefully aligned with notable dates like World Water Day to enhance the themes of his book.
Vicki Hunter, author of Running and Returning, promotes her book alongside her fitness classes. She does so in two simple ways: her headshot is a photo of her holding her book and her byline includes the phrase “local author.”
There’s not one event that is “right” for promoting your book after publication. Choose options that are right for you, your book, and your community. Just remember to be proud of what you’ve created and encourage people to buy your book.
*The authors listed above are a small sampling of the amazing authors that we have had the fortune of working with at CG Sports Publishing. Visit our publishing website to learn more about all of our authors and the amazing books they have written.
