At CG Sports, we believe that the way to improve and grow in both your professional and personal life is to constantly evolve. That is why we are constantly looking for ways to improve our business and expand the opportunities available for our athletes.

One way that we do this is by never hesitating to accept new challenges and ideas. That is why we are excited for the pending announcement of upcoming athletic camps hosted by our very own athletes AND several new books on the horizon from CG Sports Publishing.

Other big news this week:

CEJIH EXPLAINS
Reaching out to brands on LinkedIn

unnamed-5.gif

We highly recommend clients to do outreach and personally introduce yourself to companies you are a fan of. This can resonate on a higher level with some brands and increase interest. Make it a habit and you will see a big return over the long term.

An agent can certainly contact a company on your behalf. However a sponsor will always lean towards an athlete who has a genuine interest in their company and product. The best way to demonstrate this is to reach out and introduce yourself directly.

Our recommendation is to set up a premium profile on LinkedIn.

DEMAND YOUR BRAND
Be Vocal

A simple message this week: be vocal. You can't have a brand if you do not use your voice. Your beliefs, opinions, foundational knowledge and mission have a purpose that contributes to how you want to define yourself. Without sharing this, how will anyone know if they really want to be a "follower" of yours or on your team? Would you partner with an organization whose board of directors disagreed with a marketing campaign? Or an organization with no marketing campaigns at all?

When the ins and outs of a "brand" don't align or are unclear, it causes confusion and hesitation. A clear mission with evidence of practice is relatable, reliable, and desirable.

What To Do with a Financial Windfall by Kaitlyn Ranze

You did it! Whether you landed a major freelancing gig, got a bonus at work, or the government is doling out more stimulus checks, you’re going to make this money work for you.

Here is the sixth of seven smart ways to manage the money from your financial windfall:

6) Are you crafting your financial legacy?

Legacy planning is a financial strategy that prepares people to pass their assets to a loved one. If you can leave behind an inheritance to your descendants, that constitutes generational wealth.

One of the simplest ways of doing this is by establishing a 529 plan for your kids. This account offers tax-free growth and withdrawals for college, and some contributions may be tax-deductible.

Tune in next week to learn the seventh and final tip to manage the money from your financial windfall.
