The excitement of championships π
Good morning. New champions have been crowned.
It is hard to not get excited for programs as they add new championship titles to their history. The cheering, the crying, and all of the raw emotions are heartfelt to watch in any sport.
The Ole Miss Rebels made history in Omaha this past month as the college baseball team that no one saw coming and no one could stop. Ranked low at the start of the 2022 Men's College World Series, Ole Miss proved that heart and determination, not ranking, can determine your fate.

The excitement does not stop there, though. The National Hockey League (NHL) wrapped up the Stanley Cup Finals with the Colorado Avalanche winning their first championship title in 21 years. In addition to their third championship title (1996, 2001, 2022), the Avalanche's 16-4 playoff record is ranked as the second best in league history.
There is no shortage of championships to get excited about as the summer continues. Wimbledon has started; the Tour de France begins later this week; the World Games will be underway next week; and much more is on the horizon.
Enjoy the excitement (and your Wednesday)!

Topgolf Enters LA in Style
Topgolf is breaking down accessibility barriers with the addition of a ten-hole course along with their trademark driving range in the newest El Segundo facility. Golfing, much like fencing, cycling, and skiing, for example, has a high financial barrier to enter, as the investment to get into the sport is huge, and maintenance and course fees follow. While it's not necessarily a "cheap" outing, Topgolf provides one way to test the waters with a single fee covering club rentals and playing fees. Perhaps a more well-rounded demographic of players will emerge within the sport as a result.
Do you play an exclusive sport or cater to a very specific financial demographic? How can you invite your audience and followers to engage with you and your products in a non-exclusive way? If they can't make an in-person event, are you providing online content or services? Part of growing an audience may be honing in on your specific interests, then working to open it up to individuals of all backgrounds and lifestyles to be involved.
