The power of the Olympic spirit
Good morning. The Olympic spirit lives in each of us.
The 2022 Beijing Olympics may be over, but the memories, spirit, and stories will always be with us. I was recently reading an article about Rosie Brennan and the impact she has had on U.S. cross-country skiing. Brennan is leaving Beijing without an Olympic medal, but her impact (and her story) is so much bigger than that.
Throughout her career, Brennan has embodied what it means to be resilient. She prioritized her college career at a time when it jeopardized her spot with the U.S. Ski Team; she rebounded from injuries and illness throughout various times in her career; and she was cut from the U.S. Ski Team on more than one occasion.
Despite all of that, Brennan persisted. Her persistence has added titles like "2x Olympian" and "World Cup winner" to her name. And she will continue to persevere (in fact, she's back on the European World Cup circuit already)! Brennan, like so many athletes, is a living embodiment of the Olympic spirit.
To all of our Winter Olympians: we are proud of you and greatly enjoyed watching you compete in Beijing! Thank you for sharing your journey and your stories with us.
Enjoy your palindromic Wednesday, folks!

Re-marketing: How to convert from social to paid deals
Today we are going to breakdown one of my favorite marketing concepts: Re-marketing.
Re-marketing is the act of recapping or sharing something that you’ve already done. It is one of the most effective marketing strategies you can implement for your brand.
The best part is that it’s super easy and requires very little creative thinking or ‘original’ content creation.
Here is an example of how it works:
Write about something you recently did.
Post 1st on your website, then on social media.
Drive traffic inbound
Book your next deal
Re-market, cycle repeats

DEMAND YOUR BRAND
Handling Competitors
We once discussed the infamous Coke vs. Pepsi rivalry. When it comes to competition, my guess is most of you are kind supporters of teammates, and have great relationships with competitors all around the world.
To keep it cordial, one amazing way to stand out against competitors is to be the topic of conversation outside of your performance. Starting that vlog, dream business, charity event, having your own distinct logo, publishing a book... will all tell a story that not everyone has the drive to get done, and done well. Give the people something to talk about! Demand attention and individuality.
Here's your reminder that there is no better time than the present. What can you invest your time in today to set yourself apart?
REFLECTING ON ELLAVATE SWIM CAMPS' INAUGURAL EVENT
The kickoff event to Ellavate Swim Camps was a huge success. Reflecting on the event, Ella Eastin noted, "I love every opportunity to share the knowledge I accumulated over the 18 years that I spent swimming. But the best part is being able to stay connected to the sport that has given me so much. Throughout my swimming career, I was surrounded by people that lifted me up and inspired me, so my goal with Ellavate was to create an experience that provides that for others.
I received awesome feedback from athletes and parents. One swimmer wrote, "it was a great way to refresh myself on why I spend so many hours in the pool. I also enjoyed listening to Ella's inspiring story, which makes me want to be a better person both in and out of the water."
