Fencing fun for all! πŸ†

Good morning and En garde!

This past weekend, Alex Massialas hosted his first stop of the Massialas Fencing Tour, powered by Panda Express. Everyone involved went above and beyond to make this event happen and be amazing for the kids attending.

It’s important to point out that an event like this doesn't just happen. It takes months of proposals, meetings, and planning. It takes believing in what one has to offer and truly wanting to share wisdom with the world.

If you haven't seen footage from the event, it's as rad as a dog snowboarding. (Seriously, go watch the highlights on your break from work or classes.) Attendees participated in a goal-setting session, practiced key fencing moves, ate food courtesy of Panda Express, and, of course, took pictures with Alex and his Olympic medals.

Thank you, Alex, for sharing your fencing wisdom with the next generation this past weekend.

Developing a marketing campaign - with a look at Nike!

So you're looking to launch a marketing campaign? First, you're in the right place because today we're featuring key steps to creating a successful campaign. Second, you're also in the same boat as the majority of the market, meaning that we're able to use big brand like Nike as a role model for moving forward with a campaign. For Nike, "Find Your Greatness" was a huge marketing success back during the 2021 Summer Olympics. This campaign took the average athlete as an example to encourage viewers that greatness was for everyone, not just Olympians.

Here are some key steps to develop a successful branding campaign, using Nike as our case study:

  • Determine objective and budget. You could do this by defining the goals of the campaign and outlining the budget you have for the campaign. According to the Small Business Administration, companies spend anywhere between 2 to 20 percent of their projected sales on marketing! Nike's objective, for example, was to out-perform their competitors in publicity.

  • Identify your target audience. Defining a specific group of people to target your campaign towards could increase your return on investment. In Nike's campaign, the everyday athlete or active person was their target; this narrowing of demographic allowed them to create a more targeted and impactful message.

  • Define your message. What are you trying to say with your brand, and how will it come across to your target audience? Consider emotional response, your product's benefit, and credibility. For Nike, "Find Your Greatness" appealed to their non-Olympic audience defined in the prior step!

Tune in next week for the final steps to launching a successful branding campaign!
