Introducing “Winners Lose, Too”

Good morning. We're in the business of storytelling.

We say this a lot at CG Sports Co and, honestly, we're going to keep on saying it. We believe in the power of storytelling and we are consistently excited and thrilled to help bring stories to life.

Yesterday, CG Sports Publishing released our newest book, Winners Lose, Tooby Thomas Oberdorfer. This book is special because it dives into content that many of us are sometimes afraid to face and admit to ourselves or others. It acknowledges the notion that sometimes we do lose and that that is okay.

Winners Lose, Too does more than just say sometimes we lose. It highlights the lessons available to us even when we feel we are at our lowest. This book contains the stories of 22 prominent athletes and one premier cellist, plus inspirational quotes that are perfect for one's vision board.

We hope you like it and we hope that regardless of age, background, or current life circumstances that you find something to connect to within its pages.

Happy reading, folks!

How to Start Your Speaking Career

You’re an athlete. You’ve got the gift for speaking (or you’re working on it). And you want to earn extra income doing paid speaking events. If this sounds like you then you’re probably asking yourself, what are the next steps to be able to monetize this? Here’s what to do.

Right now you are likely in the early stages of building your speaker business. During this phase you may receive the occasional request from a family friend or local contact, to speak. In the early stages it makes the most sense for you to handle these requests directly (no agent).

This is because your best strategy for building your business will be through referrals. A local contact (business, charity, school) may not have a huge budget (or any). But they will be more inclined to give you a great testimonial for your website and even make a few introductions (provided you ask).

Read what to do before, during, and after you have a speaking event on the calendar (plus other tips and tricks) online.

Let us welcome a couple of our newest brand camp athletes, Sam Fischer and Jack Wallace!
