Paris on the brain

Good morning.

We don’t know about you but we’ve been glued to our TV sets!

We are die-hard Olympic fans here. Not only because the Olympics are, well, our Olympics. But also because the Olympics brings together everything that we love about sports: upsets, new records, and, Oh I don’t know, the entire rollercoaster of emotions that accompanies an event that brings the globe together to celebrate our shared love of sport.

We have so much to celebrate from the Paris Olympics so far:

  • Katie Grimes won a silver medal in the women’s 400 IM.

  • Kieran Smith anchored the men’s 4x200 free relay team to a silver medal.

  • Cierra Burdick and the USA 3x3 team jumped into action against Germany. Despite a 13-17 loss to Germany, the team has seven games ahead of them to sharpen game play.

  • Lilly King tied for fourth in an incredibly fast women’s 100 breaststroke.

  • Paige Madden threw down a commanding swim in the women’s 400 free final, while Alex Massialas posted a strong showing in the men’s individual foil.

There are so many amazing stories from the Olympics and we can’t wait to continue to share them. Have a favorite moment? Let us know and join the conversation on our Instagram account (@cgsportsco).

Happy Olympic viewing!

Champions Mojo Episode #253: “2024 Olympics Edition Honors Champion’s Mojo Guests”

Imagine sharing the excitement of the 2024 Olympic Games with a loved one in their final days. That's what I'm doing with her 94-year-old father, and it's a journey filled with tears, laughter, and endless inspiration. That's why we've been on a break for a few weeks.  Join me, Kelly Palace, as I celebrate these unforgettable moments and explore the insights from some of the most exceptional athletes and coaches we've had the privilege of hosting on Champion's Mojo. From Rowdy Gaines' boundless enthusiasm to Emma Wyatt's profound hard reset, and Paige Madden's unique breathing technique, our featured Olympians provide invaluable lessons that motivate us to push beyond our limits.

I'll mention the fascinating story of Bob Bowman, the legendary five-time US Olympic coach who is now championing the French team and his prodigy, Leon Marchand. Bob’s strategic decision to support Leon while staying true to his US roots is a testament to the complexity and beauty of competitive sports. Plus, we'll highlight how master swimmers can elevate their own game by observing the elite techniques showcased at the Olympics—everything from starts to dolphin kicks. This episode is a heartfelt tribute to the athletes who inspire us and a celebration of the life lessons they impart through their dedication and passion.
