Our Q1 travel plans ✈️

Good morning.

The OOO office replies are off, it may or may not be too late in January to say, “Happy New Year,” and we’re excited to be back!

2025 is a building year for many in the sports world as they look ahead to celebrating the Winter Olympic Games in Milan Cortina next year. One way that our team is embracing this building year is by sending our CEO, Cejih Yung, on the road more often (don’t worry, he’s excited about it).

A few travel highlights already coming up for Cejih that we can’t wait to share with you are:

  • NIL workshops at universities,

  • Conferences and business meetings,

  • Supporting clients at local events,

  • Watching the stage production of one of our books, and

  • Attending the Super Bowl.

2025 is going to be a great year and we are going to fill it with travel, workshops, exciting new opportunities, and more.  We can’t wait to share all of it with you!

Enjoy your Wednesday,

Taylor

Building An Audience to Buy from You

Building an audience is the single best thing you can do for your career as an athlete, author, speaker or even business owner. It’s also one of the hardest. You have to be good at your craft as well as good behind the scenes in getting people to join your audience.

So, of course, you have to be resilient.  But more importantly, you have to do the long, slow, painstaking work of establishing a brand, a community, and a marketing plan.

The skills involved in accomplishing this other task are very similar to the twin requirements for an author not only to write a great book but also to market that book to an increasingly overwhelmed, distracted, and shrinking reading public.  You have to figure out what the key elements of your message are, decide who should hear them, and plan how to reach those people in ways that are sufficiently compelling.

We have found that the single most powerful form of communication to an audience is through: your email list.

Visit our website to learn why an email list is so essential and to see a sample email from our publishing client, Dudley Duncan!

We're launching 2025 with one of our favorite announcements: Welcoming our newest Brand Camp client!

Leah Fair is a multifaceted athlete who has competed in track & field and is now gearing up for Milan Cortina 2026 in the skeleton event. Please join us in welcoming her to the CG Sports Co family!
