The opportunities we create ⛳
Good morning. Mindset matters.
Sometimes there are elements of an event that are outside of our control, such as the weather. This happened over the weekend when 40 mph winds ravaged the course at Pebble Beach.
"Well, I always said I wanted to play the hole this way," Spieth announced to the PGA Tour at Pebble Beach as he approached the hole.
Spieth is no stranger to odd obstacles at events, specifically Pebble Beach. (Last year, he almost fell off a cliff while trying to hit a shot.)
What is noteworthy and remarkable about Spieth's actions is the opportunity he saw in the play. He didn't display frustration or disappointment with the weather conditions, but spent time evaluating his clubs and the potential trajectory that each could produce.
The result? A clear shot to the green and, ultimately, a par-3.
If you've been feeling stuck at work or in training, borrow a page from Spieth's book: evaluate the clubs in your bag and take a swing. You might just hit the green!

#Throwback: Athletes should make more posts like this
In person events, speaking gigs and appearances are making a big comeback. If you find yourself with an opportunity to be giving an appearance, here is the best type of post you can make to ensure future deals.
We call it the “closing the loop” post with our CG Sports athletes. The process is very simple.
Here it is:
Share a photo, video or short clip from your event. The SOONER you can make this post, the better it will do.
Tag the company, team or person(s) that invited you to speak or give the appearance. Give them a shoutout.
Share what you talked about with the audience. End with a big THANK YOU to your host. This will show future hosts that you are a great guest to bring in.
You can take a pic right before the event starts, or a video. You can do a follow up post or video from the stage. Or you can ask someone to take photos of you as you are speaking.
Mondo Worldwide
Mondo Cares is an initiative launched by Mondo Worldwide to allow people to be champions both on and off a sports surface. As part of the conversation, Mondo has created both a documentary and a poster to assist in creating safe spaces for athletes to talk about their mental health.
The documentary, titled "I'm Fine, (Not) Really," covers the inside story of elite athletes as they reclaim the idea of what fine is (watch the trailer here), while the poster serves as a visual reminder to help students and athletes.
