Big news from CG Sports Publishing!

Good morning.

Big news from CG Sports Publishing!

Soul of a Swimmer by Carla Albano, which memorializes Nicholas Dworet’s life, was recently selected by What If Works and adapted into a stage production. The stage production was adapted and directed by Phillip M. Church and performances will begin this Friday (February 7th).

Carla Albano explained to the Miami Herald, “I am still in disbelief that Phillip Church chose to bring Soul of a Swimmer to the stage in South Florida. Phillip has been able to harness the extraordinary passion and heartfelt goodness of an exceptional human being: Nicholas Dworet… Nick’s story is one of a talented young man who passed away, when his goals were within reach. Through the play, Nick’s legacy shall be thoughtfully retold by all who loved him; his teachings shall be an example for generations to come.”

If you’re in the Fort Lauderdale area and would like to go see the stage production, you can purchase tickets online here.

Thank you to all involved for your hard work on such an important project! Enjoy your Wednesday!

A resource for everyone

Our “Explains” corner has grown quite a bit over the years and has hosted many writers. The beauty of so many of us contributing to the “Explains” corner is that we have amassed a wealth of resources available for EVERYONE.

Here are 5 of our most popular “Explains” articles (based upon number of visits in a 30-day period):

  1. Explaining Exclusivity Clauses in Athlete Endorsement Clauses

  2. How to manage multiple deals without letting things slip

  3. NIL Sponsorship Deals: What you need to know

  4. Email follow up like a sports agent

  5. Part 1 - Establishing a Rate Card

Here’s what I love about this collection: it is diverse and reaffirms that we aren’t just catering information to a fragment of the sports industry. Coaches, athletes (college and pro), fellow agents - we’re here to help all of you!
