The stories we share πŸ“š

Good morning. There is always news to share.

Some days, it feels daunting and near impossible to keep up with all of the news coming out of the sports arena. (And that doesn't include trying to remain informed on national and international economics, politics, and more.) Each day there are new wins and losses, new and old records, newbies on the scene, and retirees waving goodbye.

I have accepted that I can't absorb every sports story to be published, which allows me to celebrate, digest, and share each story that I do encounter. Here are a few favorites from the last few days:

Whether it is a moral, a shocking stat, or a heart-bending performance, stories are an opportunity to connect with others. My request for you is to find a story and make a connection with someone new this week. Oh, and enjoy the rest of your week!

Sponsorships 101: Where to start

Athletes can get paid sponsorship deals by partnering with companies that are willing to pay them for promoting their brand or products. Sponsorship deals are a way for companies to leverage the popularity and influence of successful athletes to reach a wider audience and increase brand awareness.

To get paid sponsorship deals, athletes typically need to have a strong personal brand, a large following, and a high level of performance in their sport. Companies are more likely to partner with athletes who have a strong social media presence and a positive public image.

When seeking sponsorship deals, athletes should also consider their personal values and the values of the companies they partner with. It is important for athletes to partner with companies that align with their personal brand and beliefs, as this can help them build a more authentic and meaningful relationship with their fans.

Another great aspect of this show is how the Kelly and Maria relate flip turns to life, discussing how the ability to adapt and learn new things is important in both swimming and everyday life.
