The stats we love 🏀

Good morning.

The Iowa Hawkeye women have been demanding the attention of the basketball world for several seasons now and rightfully so. Caitlin Clark has been rampaging through the women's NCAA record books and people are here for it! This is an exciting time for women's sports, basketball, Clark, Iowa, and more!

The effect? Viewership records are being broken left and right. The Iowa -- West Virginia round 2 game drew in 4.9 million viewers (a round two record), and then viewership hit an ALL-TIME RECORD of 12.3 million viewers with the Iowa -- LSU rematch. The stats speak for themselves! (Thanks, Front Office Sports!)

What records are left for the Women's NCAA Tournament? Could we see viewership push closer to maintaining closer to 16.1 million (the peak of the viewership during Iowa--LSU's rematch)?

Tune in to watch the Final Four continue in Cleveland, Ohio this Friday! And, in the meantime, have a great week!

3 Reasons to Utilize Case Studies

Case studies are an old school term that we want to breath new life into in 2024 (and beyond). Over the last several months, our team has been compiling data from various events to highlight the power of a strong sponsor, brand, or speaking engagement.

What we’ve found? There are three major bonuses to utilizing case studies in your business:

  1. It communicates a service that you offer. At CG Sports, we offer many different services to our clients and case studies help us highlight those services, as well as what they look like as a completed project. For example, if you’ve ever considered what bringing in an Olympian to speak to and motivate your school/company/team would be like, we can show you that! After Olympian Haylie McCleney visited the Bryn Mawr School, we created our Speaking Case Study to highlight what a keynote speaker can offer to an audience, as well as what both parties gain from the experience.

  2. It demonstrates your commitment to the end goal. Building a brand, connecting clients with sponsors — these services take time and a lot of meetings. (Thank you, Google Meet!) So, we’re really proud to show off not only the end result, but also the process. After we worked with Olympic gold medalist Lilly King to create her brand, we built a Brand Camp Case Study that highlights her background, our objectives, and the final result. Now we can all reflect on the work that we put in and appreciate all of the steps it took to get to her brand!

  3. Everyone loves to share good news! This case study is now one more tangible item that you, your client, and (potentially) others can use. Take our Sponsor Case Study on Nevada State Bank signing with Katie Grimes for Paris 2024. The case study is a feel-good item that demonstrates the hard work and values of all parties (Katie, Nevada State Bank, and CG Sports) involved, plus the excitement of both clients (Katie and Nevada State Bank) at the end!

There’s no limit to what you can do with a case study. The next opportunity you have, I challenge you to grab one of your projects and comb through the data to build a case study to share with current and future clients.
