Learn from the experts
Good morning. Never stop learning.
The Dolphins made history this past weekend with their 70-20 victory over the Denver Broncos. I was about to start a deep-dive on the internet about why this high score mattered so much when my own procrastination paid off.
Asante Cleveland had already conveniently broken down the significance of the game on his Instagram page. Who better to learn about the significance of an NFL game than from a former NFL player?
If you've never watched one of Cleveland's videos, here's what you need to know:
He knows A LOT. Grab your notebook. Class has started. Cleveland is knowledgeable on the NFL, pro athlete retirement, the importance of therapy, and more. The Dolphins was where I started (thank you Instagram feed), but I quickly watched many more videos.
He chunks information well. At no point when watching Cleveland's videos have I felt the information overload that can happen in information dense videos. Each of his videos is centered on a specific topic, which helps 1) keep the time concise and 2) keep his speech focused.
He genuinely wants to help people. Cleveland already knows this information from his personal experiences. The beauty of sharing this information on social media platforms is that he is able to share his industry knowledge for free without requiring anything back from his audience.
So what's the takeaway? Listen to the leaders, experts, veterans, and change makers in your industry. Keep learning and you will avoid stagnation.
Enjoy your week!

Re-marketing: How to convert from social to paid deals
Re-marketing is the act of recapping or sharing something that you’ve already done. It is one of the most effective marketing strategies you can implement for your brand.
The best part is that it’s super easy and requires very little creative thinking or ‘original’ content creation.
Here is an example of how it works:
Step one, “Write about something you recently did”: If you recently gave a paid speech, clinic, camp, charity or sponsorship appearance, do a short write up about your experience. Include who the event was for, how they found you (website, DM, referral) and what the event was about. Share what you talked about and your takeaways from the experience. In total this may only be a few sentences or 1-2 paragraphs, which is completely fine.
Step two, “Post 1st on your website, then on social media”: Gather up a few photos from the event and then do the following in this order. First, make a blog post on your website and copy/paste the text you wrote in Step 1. You can include a few photos in the blog if you wish. Second, post to Instagram/Facebook/LinkedIn (your choice) and include many photos. For the text, include just a couple of sentences as a teaser but not the entire written piece. Direct your audience to “Read my full recap at the link in bio, thank you!”.
Step three, “Drive traffic inbound”: This will drive traffic to your website, which can often times turn into new business leads. From one post, you are able to generate future inbound business for your brand.
Step four, “Book your next deal”: Get prepared for your next deal and go do your thing!
Step five, “Re-market, cycle repeats”: Repeat the cycle and create your next re-marketing piece of content. Now you are cooking!
Give this a try, it’s an exciting part of marketing your brand and being a pro. Enjoy!
