Kieran Smith, Tokyo 2020 Olympic Swimmer, Launches Personal Brand with CG Sports Company

Hello Everyone,

I hope this email finds you well. I am extremely excited to announce that I am moving one step closer to establishing my professional swim career. I will be launching my website, www.kieransmithswimming.com very shortly! I am incredibly grateful to be working in partnership with CG Sports, as they have helped me build my own personal brand. It is especially exciting that I am able to do all of this while still competing collegiately for the Florida Gators.

Growing up in Connecticut, athletics did not necessarily take center stage. There are no professional sports teams in Connecticut, and it seemed like the state was too small to produce noteworthy athletes. As a swimmer, it often felt like my resources were working against me, as Olympic sized pools and top notch training facilities are scarce compared to the powerhouses of Texas, California, or Florida. However, as I progressed through high school, I found more and more success, and realized quickly that I was able to compete at the same level as my out of state competitors. I began competing at the international level, and found my way to the University of Florida. The program at Florida completely evolved my swimming, and swimming at this school has played a huge role in making the Olympic Team last summer. However, I hope the Olympics were only the start of my international success, as I begin to make the transition to full time swimmer.

The launch of my website will occur with great timing to the announcement of my partnership with the swim brand, Speedo. A special thank you to Dane Vanderkaay is in order for negotiating and establishing a contract for me. Representing a swim brand was always a lifetime dream of mine growing up, and I can not believe my dream is coming true.

This website launch represents a lot of opportunity for my future. I am excited to continue to work with Rachel Draffen, the director of marketing with CG Sports. I strive to one day use my website as a way to advertise merchandise, work with brand partners, sponsors, and charities, to fundraise and speak to the swimming community. We are obviously a long way from these ambitions, but the exciting thing about working with CG Sports is that I will be able to pursue these goals during and after my swimming career.

Nicole Wurtele, the web designer of CG Sports, has done a fantastic job with modeling a logo for me. I was extremely impressed that Nicole was able to design the logo that I had envisioned for myself by just exchanging a few emails and pictures with her. Here is a look at it!

If you all could not already tell, I am extremely excited to get this website launched. Again, check it out at www.kieransmithswimming.com, and let me know what you think! Thanks again to everyone that has helped me get to this point,

Kieran Smith
