The Wisdom of Ted Lasso

Good morning. Wisdom can be found anywhere.

Like many, I am obsessed with the show "Ted Lasso." Since debuting in 2020, fans across the world have fallen in love with the characters and soccer alike.

For me, Ted's undying commitment to positivity is one of the most endearing parts of the show. Ted exists as a reminder to all that it is important to focus on spreading joy to those around you, creating experiences and environments that are enriching, and improving the lives of those around you.

While there is no shortage of wisdom to glean from the show, there is something unique and enlightening hearing about the show from the actors themselves.

Sports Business Radio podcast recently had the opportunity to interview several notable characters from the hit TV show. The episode, now live on all streaming platforms, goes behind the scenes of the show and each guest shares special nuggets about their character.

Listen to Phil Dunster (Jamie Tartt), Nick Mohammed (Nate Shelley), Jeremy Swift (Leslie Higgins), and James Lance (Trent Crimm) now. And catch Sports Business Radio's past episode with Kola Bokinni (Isaac McAdoo).

To quote Trent Crimm (The Independent), "If the Lasso way is wrong, it's hard to imagine being right."

Embody your best Ted Lasso today, even if it's only for a portion of the day.

7 marketing tips to promote your book

Promoting a book to an email list can be an effective way to reach out to potential readers and generate buzz for your book.

Here are some tips to help you promote your book to your email list!

  1. Craft a compelling subject line: The subject line of your email is the first thing your subscribers will see, so it’s important to make it compelling enough to encourage them to open the email. Use language that entices them to learn more about your book, such as “Discover the page-turning story of my new book”.

  2. Personalize your email: Personalization is key to making your subscribers feel valued and engaged. Address each subscriber by name and mention their past interactions with your brand, such as previous purchases or newsletter sign-ups.

  3. Highlight the benefits: In your email, highlight the benefits of reading your book. Will it inspire, entertain, or educate your readers? Be clear and specific about what they can expect to gain from reading your book.

  4. Offer exclusive content or discounts: Provide your subscribers with an incentive to purchase your book. Consider offering exclusive content or discounts to your email list. This will make your subscribers feel valued and encourage them to take action.
