Social Media Posts You Should Be Making: Coaches Edition

Social media is a key component of marketing and how we consume information. However, marketing strategies should vary depending upon your role.

Over the years, we’ve worked with athletes, coaches, and teams to help them develop their brand and marketing strategies. This series will highlight successful strategies that work for the different groups (athletes vs. coaches vs. teams).

This week, we are covering successful posts that coaches should be making.

Mindset posts. A coach’s values are paramount to understanding how a team functions. This could be a pinned graphic on a social media page a la Ted Lasso’s “Believe” poster or motivational quotes that you, a coach, personally believe in.

Game day posts. Coaches are part of the hype and athletes love when their coach is excited about the upcoming game/meet/match! By sharing upcoming schedule news, you are communicating the importance of your team’s events and increasing the potential crowds at each event.

Camps and clinics information. If you are a coach who runs a camp or clinic, then sharing information on social media is a smart route. As a coach, chances are you have fellow coaches (potentially local), parents of prospective recruits, alumni, and more following you. This means that each post you make has he potential to reach wide audiences.

Coaches, these are just a handful of ways to engage your community via social media. Find what works for you and enjoy finding new ways to communicate with your community.

Tune in next week for Part 3 of “Social Media Posts You Should Be Making!”
