POST EVENT CHECKLIST

This is my go to checklist that I follow after every speaking event, business conference or clinic where I meet a bunch of new potential contacts. This exact process has helped my book a ton of new business for myself and my clients. If you want to keep a full business calendar for yourself, follow these steps religiously every time.

CEJIH’S POST EVENT CHECKLIST:

  1. Warm leads: Collect names/emails/company name from contacts

  2. Data input: Get them input into a Googlesheet, vs hand written - saves you a ton of post event time

  3. Upload to database: Upload into database as soon as possible. Have a system that makes this super streamlined for you to do.

  4. Thank you email to audience: Have a pre-written “thank you” email template ready to go.

    1. You can tweak it to include specific things you covered during your speech.

    2. Include an ‘extra credit’ offer. This can be a “click” or “download” or “video” of content that wasn’t covered. Or content covered but in more detail.

    3. Give your host a shoutout in your thank you email. Classy move that will pay it forward.

  5. Thank you email to host: IMPORTANT! Send a 1-1 thank you email to your host.

  6. Feedback/Testimonial survey: Ask for a testimonial and make it super easy. 1 click + 1 min survey or Google form.

  7. Add new contacts into CRM: Upload your new contacts into your CRM or Mailchimp for future email marketing campaigns.

  8. Email nurture campaigns: Add contacts to nurture campaign.

  9. 1-1 reach out to warmer leads: There will usually be warmer leads from the event. Send a more personalized 1-1 email to these contacts as they may be future business opportunities you can snatch up.

  10. Post on social!

    1. Include the best pics from the event

    2. Include a snapshot of your ‘Agenda’ or ‘presentation’ so people can get an idea of what you speak about. Don’t give away the farm but give them a teaser.
